Frequently Asked Questions
Answers To Your Questions
Why do you use Idaho® potatoes for your chips?
Simply put, Idaho® potatoes are the best tasting potatoes in the world. And we believe that the best potatoes make the best potato chips.
Are the potatoes Non-GMO?
Yes! We only use non-GMO Idaho® potatoes to make our chips.
What kind of oil do you use?
We only use a Non-GMO expeller-pressed, high-oleic sunflower oil grown and pressed from the colorful sunflower fields of Colorado. Expeller-pressed means the oil is mechanically squeezed to extract the oil, rather than chemically extracted, which is common among oils. High-oleic means our sunflower oil is high in oleic acid (over 80%!), or monounsaturated fats, which are known to lower LDL (bad) cholesterol and raise HDL (good) cholesterol.
What kind of salt do you use?
There is a huge difference in the quality of salts available on the market today. Most salts contain anti-caking agents or other additives, and also strip the salt from its natural trace minerals. Our Rocky Mountain Salt on the other hand is unrefined and full of natural minerals, not to mention bursting with flavor. This salt is found in an ancient salt deposit in South Central Utah, and blends perfectly with the Idaho® potato.
Do your chips contain artificial colors, flavorings, or preservatives?
Nope, and they never will.
What is the shelf life of your potato chips?
Because our chips are hand made, and contain no preservatives, we guarantee their freshness for 16 weeks.
What flavors do you have?
Our chips come in four delicious flavors: Rocky Mountain Salt, Backcountry Barbeque, Rock Salt & Vinegar and Hells Canyon Jalapeno.
Are the chips gluten-free?
Yes. Our chips are naturally gluten-free.
Are your chips free of nuts?
Yes. Our chips contain NONE of the 8 most common allergies including milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat, and soy. You're welcome :)
